Hi everyone… I'm planning a week-long trip to Madrid and I'm looking for some recommendations on must-do activities and other cities I should visit.
I'm interested in art, history, and culture, and I'm also a big fan of food and wine. I'm not really into clubbing or nightlife, but I do enjoy trying new restaurants and bars.
I've done some research and I've come up with a few ideas, but I'd love to hear from people who have been to Madrid before.
What are some must do things in Madrid?
Toledo is near Madrid and is a must see!!!
Seville and Granada are the best!
Definitely Toledo.

2 days was more than enough time for me in Madrid. If felt like any other big city. Seville on the other hand is absolutely incredible and blew me away!
The museums are excellent, parque de retiro, happy hour by SOL with lots of good tapas and Sangria, the subway is so easy to navigate it can take you anywhere. There’s a flea market on Sundays called El Rastro that’s great too for vintage and souvenirs.
Sevilla. My husband called it a "fat boy walking trip" because you can walk anywhere. Awesome. Plenty to see within walking distance of anywhere within the city center. Driving is scary (for us Americans) on their narrow roads, FYI.
Visit the Royal Palace, Retiro Park, the Prado museum. For an unforgettable dinner experience, book a reservation (in advance) at Casa Benigna which is located in a residential area, but the best meal we had in Madrid with a wonderful host. Take a day trip to Toledo.
