Anyone have recommendations on places to see, places to stay and the best Airlines to travel on to get there?

Week 1: Start your trip in Tokyo, Japan's bustling capital city. Visit the famous Shibuya Crossing, the Meiji Shrine, and the Tsukiji Fish Market. Explore the quirky neighborhoods of Harajuku and Shinjuku, and enjoy the view from the Tokyo Tower.

Take a day trip to Kamakura to see the Great Buddha and the beautiful temples of this ancient capital.

Travel to Hakone for a traditional ryokan stay and soak in an onsen (hot spring) with a view of Mount Fuji.

Head to Kyoto, Japan's cultural heart. Visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), and the geisha district of Gion.

Take a day trip to Nara to see the impressive Todai-ji Temple and the friendly deer that roam the city.

Week 2: Visit Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Park and Museum to learn about the city's tragic history and resilience.

Head to Miyajima Island and see the famous Itsukushima Shrine and the friendly resident deer.

Travel to Osaka and try some of the city's famous street food and visit the Osaka Castle.

Take a day trip to Himeji to see the stunning Himeji Castle, one of Japan's most impressive castles.

End your trip with a few days in Okinawa to soak up some sun on the beach and explore the unique culture of this island chain.

Remember to pace yourself and not try to do too much in one day. Japan can be overwhelming, but taking the time to appreciate its beauty and culture will make your honeymoon trip unforgettable.

Depends on your interests, budget and time of year.

If you want a relaxing vacation I’d recommend seeing 2 cities in 2 weeks. You can potentially squeeze in 3 so might as well go for the golden path of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka. Use the JR Rail pass to use the bullet trains. There’s plenty of things to do and plenty of amazing food to eat.
