So, I appreciate you all letting me join! I'm having an issue where I'm not sure if it's impostor syndrome or what, but I started writing a novel and got about 90 pages in and then stopped... And I've been stopped for a good long while. I realized I was rushing to the ending way too fast, and I got bored writing in some ways.

I think another part of it is that I was told my goal of 50k to 75k was too short for a horror story, so I felt kinda cheated... I'm not sure.

Can anyone offer any advice?

You don’t have to write - it’s OK to stop if you’re not enjoying yourself.

Everyone's generaly going to offer you the same e advice. just write, don't worry about word quantities, don't worry about if someone will like it, worry about nothing and just write, don't even have it in your mind that you are going to publish it. Just write your story for you and see what happens.

Writing should be fun, if you have all these ideals and expectations it will stop being fun.
