Looking for ideas... It's my sons (9th) birthday coming up

.. and he's asked for money, so he can treat himself when we go away..

I don't want to just put cash in his birthday card, are there any other ways of presenting him with it?

I saw the 'money pizza' in the pizza box on here a while back, just wondering what other ways I can do it? love the money in the cake idea, but I've left it too late to plan that!

I put single notes in balloons and got my boy to pop them to see how much he got.

You can melt some chocolate into an ice cube tray and sink coins into the chocolate. Obviously he would have to be very careful how he ate them. I did this for my son one year.

Your can buy mazes and puzzles you can put money in if you want to make them work for it?

In a locked box then hide the key and give clues or make puzzles to say where the key is hidden

I bought this from Amazon, filled with money and popped it in a box (left a slit in the top) and wrapped it like a gift.

I also then put lots of £5 notes into lots of balloons, stuck to ceiling with glue dots then we decorated a stick, glued a pin to the end and our daughter went around popping balloons with money dropping all over her. She absolutely loved it

The money cake is a great idea. You can buy the money holder on amazon and can arrive next day, just make a space in the cake.
Also hide and seek to find the money too could be fun. X

We put some money in balloons last year for my 8 year old and she loved popping them to get the money out of them! She has asked to do the same again this year!
