Is it possible for milk stain to reappear in a baby's mouth after cleaning it?

Good day doctors. Thanks for the good work you guys are doing. Please is it possible for milk stain to reappear in a baby's mouth after cleaning it? My baby is 2 months old today and each time I clean his mouth it wipes off easily but reappears the next day. It has been for like this two weeks or more. Could it be oral thrush or just the milk stain. He's on EBF.

Milk patches will come off easily and there's nothing to worry about.

But if the white patches refuse to go, then it is most likely oral thrush.
