Good afternoon Doctors. Please is exclusive breastfeeding (baby sucking every 2-3hrs) equal to family planning for the 6months? And period coming almost every 2weeks equal to hormonal imbalance?
Baby was born vaginal delivery and no tears. Is planning to wait till baby is 6months before family planning injection okay?

Exclusive breastfeeding is NOT family planning.
Exclusive breastfeeding can protect you against getting pregnant especially if you are not seeing your period but it is not 100% so it is recommended that you use additional form of family planning even when breastfeeding exclusively.
