Is this something that can be corrected or simply a excited pup who wants to play with all his energy?
I tell him no when he tries to pull & play when people/other dog pass by, sometime he listens other times no.
Let me know your thoughts please!
I have a 9 month pup who gets overly excited on walks, he pulls & wants to play with any human or dog that goes by
If your not using a harness you can pull on their neck and they can have a collapse trach. It happened to my dog. You have better control when walking also.
Watch YouTube videos on training a dog to walk on a leash. Or get a trainer. It's imperative to be able to control your dog while they are on a leash, for the safety of your dog as well as other dogs and people, especially if your dog is going to be a big dog. You want walks to be enjoyable, not a constant struggle.
I think it's something that needs to be corrected asap. Else, when he gets bigger, you will struggle to control him and any outside time will not be enjoyable.
Definitely needs corrected, training from a young age is key. Teach him focus, high value treats when he does, kong or DIY squeeze tubes work well. As well as sitting and waiting while people pass and sitting before interacting/pets.
