If you are In Melbourne the pottery barn outlet does get these in quiet often.

A lot of upcyclers do something similar at the moment. It's basically a tan wash with Fusion Mineral Paint's Algonquin and white wax.

Agree with Heather. Find a piece on marketplace. You could pay someone to strip it and re-finish, and still save a fortune.
