Hi ladies, I’m about to Reno my kitchen in Hampton style on a budget.

Has anyone used flat laminate cupboards without the shaker style grooves?

Does it look OK?

Photos please would be great.

I contemplated it! I had two options but ultimately decided to spend the money on the shaker door style $2700 was the extra cost versus the flat gloss doors…

It was between this one with flat doors and vj board at the back of island bench..

Or a traditional shaker style kitchen…

I ended up doing a mix

This was a cheap $5k Bunnings kaboodle kitchen that I put into one of my investment properties.

None of the appliances/light fixtures changed - just sharing the cabinetry, bench top, tap, tiles. Just a cheap tidy up really.

The feature doesn't always have to be about the cabinets so why pay extra.
