Why is it so hard to go back on keto?

Post by Guest »

I can’t for the life of me get back on my keto! Every day for months now I “start over” and fail.

I followed a strict keto lifestyle for 3 years (and loved it!) so I know that I can do it, but I just can’t seem to get back on it. Anyone else struggling like this?

Would love any advise on how to get my mind straight to just do it!

Stop poisoning yourself with "food". You wanna be healthy, then you must eat healthy. Your family needs you.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am going through this exactly right now. Lost 25 lbs felt great, had some "life" happen, jumped off, haven't been back on and now I've gained 15 lbs back. Maybe it's psychological, when we 1st did it, we didn't know we could, and we proved ourselves wrong.

But NOW that we know we can do it, we don't give it the same enthusiasm 😉 we are not alone, let's do this Again because WE CAN!!!!

Personally it was easier for me to get back on by just saying I was gonna do it and then not thinking about it again if that makes sense? I didn’t plan a start date or anything because it would make me want to overeat right before or get anxious about it. The first thing I did was start reading labels again as if I was back on it. Surprisingly that overwhelming urge to not go over net carbs came back instantly and I found myself doing as I did before-not wanting to “spend” the net carbs on junky food.

I used this to track how I was doing daily. It took 2-3 months of starting over again and again to finally make it through Wednesdays.

There was something about that day that’s derail the week.

I finally managed to work through it. I think it was setting a date for my big daddy round of blood work that did it.

That was April. It wasn’t until Mid June that I was able to go a full week.
