Hey me and my boyfriend are wanting to do the Ha Giang loop but he doesn't have the correct International drivers license! (He has UK driver’s license)

Don't risk is there's cops all over enforcing and seizing bikes and fining tourists.

I'm fairly certain you must get the IDP while in your home country. He also needs a motorcycle endorsement on his UK license. Most people riding the loop won't hold the correct licenses.

He must go in person to a post office in the UK for an IDP unfortunately.

no such thing... if stopped I found 20 dollar notes are valid though.
