For some reason, I am finding very minimal non stop fights accross all airlines and the flights that I am finding have several connections and or several hours of travel.

I’m coming from the East Coast and trying to find the best option.

I’m debating flying into a different airport and driving to NOLA.

Has anyone done this? Any tips or suggestions that I may be missing?

I fly frequently and I’m surprised I’m not finding many great options.

Have you tried Southwest? That’s what we usually fly.

Don't forget to buy the insurance. It's hurricane season!

Depends on your East Coast airport. There are lots of non-stop flights from the NYC area, a couple on American from PHL, and at least three on Southwest from BWI. Try Google flights, if you've not already done so, to see what's available.
