Before I go down the rabbit hole with them, is there anything I should know about mascot books, or amplify publishing group?

Mascot is technically a vanity hybrid. You get what you pay for and chances are you will not receive money in return. Amplify technically bought them in April 2022. Amplify has a good reputation as a hybrid vanity publisher. But remember, you will pay a lot up front. Is it worth it? That is up to you to decide.
