The best bit is that the lowdown comes from YOU. Round here, you are the influencer. You shape the board and make it great. We want you to get involved by writing posts and comments to inspire us, teach us, challenge us or simply make us laugh. The power is in your hands, literally.

Hi all. Hope you can help and it's the biggest FORUM I'm in. I'm currently studying for my degree in design and have a question that I've drawn blanks for.

I need to design a product or activity for a national park that will engage children when walking around.

It currently has protected plants and wildlife so can't destroy much land area.

It can be a product they can sell in a shop for them to use or something they can do while there.

Please, please help. Any ideas would be amazing and I'd appreciate it so much.

We went to a castle and they had a Lego mini figure treasure hunt. The kids had to spot the mini figure in every room (it was up high or behind a case so no hands could get to them).

They loved it, they ran from to room trying to find it before everyone else.

Went to an art gallery where there were QR codes dotted around which went to a site asking to find something with an emoji linking to the paintings. You could do a QR code asking to spot certain plants/wildlife. If they get them all they get a small prize?

A series of rubbings or embossed stamps children can find as they walk round with a book to collect them in.

Adventure trails for kids are amazing... with a map to follow they could find points. And an activity at each one (like questions or build a fairy hut with sticks and stuff they find, how many bugs can they find in a square foot, find certain plants and flowers to tick off ect...) the pack could include allsorts for their Adventure and then maybe a certificate at in the pack they can have once completed. Have a research on what kids can do in natural spaces and bring ideas together x

We just did at the local national trust a few activities where you have to compare your height to the local wildlife ie birds wingspan. We also did a selection of true or false questions as well walked around. My kids loved it and kept them waking without complaining. Good luck
