Hello everyone. I am due to move to Milton Keynes and could do with a little help on areas - it's either going to be Bletchley or Leighton Buzzard.
What are the areas like and what's best for families needing schools etc.
Anything you can help with would be absolutely amazing.

Neither Bletchley or Leighton buzzard are actually MK, they have their own train stations and everything. LB is closest to London if that is an important factor. It also has more of a “town” feel and it’s own personality. Bletchley hasn’t got a great centre in my opinion and you’ll probably find you need to get into MK for most of the things you need, but there are good bus routes in and easy parking everywhere.
MK itself has more soft play/trampoline parks/kids activities, but it’s tricky to get around if you don’t drive. Leighton buzzard is smaller so easier if you don’t drive.
But most places around here are good.
LB you are in Bedfordshire so school are three tier (lower, middle, upper). I only know about the upper schools but both are very good.
Bletchley is more mixed for school. Two tier system, some great places some not so great. There are generally great primary schools and most of the secondaries are good with the exception of one.
They have quite different feels so it’s probably worth trying to visit and see what you think. I would say it would depend on if you want to drive/walk/use public transport, how close you need to be to the M1/train station and the age of your children and if you want two or three tier system. We live on the edge of Bletchley closest to Leighton buzzard, everything from north MK down to the open farms and things south of Leighton are within a 25 minute drive from here so everything is fairly compact and designed that way.
