Anyone out there having issues with Dexcom 6. I have to calibrate mine 5 times a day

Hi everyone… I'm reaching out to see if others are experiencing similar issues with the Dexcom G6. I find myself needing to calibrate my device up to five times a day because the readings are consistently 20 to 30 points off. This frequent calibration is becoming quite frustrating, and I’m concerned about the accuracy and reliability of the data.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what steps have you taken to resolve it? Any tips or insights on improving the accuracy of the Dexcom G6 would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Don’t ever rely on your DexG6 for treatment decisions.

Always finger prick.

That’s another misconception. Dexcom has to be calibrated daily. Dexcom will never print that anywhere, at least not in the last six months. Not only do you now have to calibrate daily, you must also finger prick at least five times a day.

With DexG7 released now, be even more careful.

I’m not sure what type pump you have but that’s another story.

The software is broken. They claim that it is now working correctly but it is not.

The tech last night from Dexcom insisted that he was totally correct and confident that the instructions he was providing were 100% correct.

LOL no they were not.

By the time I sent out all new invites for my followers to install the new follow app, my extra phone was already sending “ no data” alerts.

Those are the only alerts that were working and are still working it appears.

But my lows and highs, I’ve stopped getting Dexcom alerts a month ago or so. It’s been a mobth I’ll never forget. Thank goodness for my pup.

I hope this helps.

I had that issue with my sons and had to replace. You can call dexcom and they will send you a new one!

20-30 difference is not a problem. As a matter of fact, it’s incredibly close and I wouldn’t even consider calibrating or switching it out for that.

Mine is often off 30 to 40 and I calibrate often with the G6. If my Dexcom ever says I’m low or high, I always finger test, even throughout the day I finger test often. Another trick I have found is to stay hydrated, that seems to also help the numbers to be more accurate. Just a hint.
