Hello awesome people!! First post here but have been loving all your inspiration, positivity and creativity for a while now.

So, I have finally moved into my brand new house (completed only two weeks ago) something that was merely a thought bubble just two years ago! I have this amazing living area that I love but I’m surprisingly having trouble styling it!

I’m wondering what colours to use to break up the grey/blue and white? I’ll be hanging some white sheers on the window (have white block out blinds already installed) so that will soften that area.

I’m open to all suggestions, ideas and tips!

Thank you legends

Maybe a nice rug on the floor. Picture on the wall, move the pot plant from the corner so it’s not so crowded in the corner. Soft cushions in beige and greens.

Just my opinion.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Have fun decorating your new home

I'd swing if possible your 3 seater to the back wall, so the chaise part isn't in the middle. Then the 2 seater part infront of the window 😉 a nice big rug and choose a colour from the rug for cushions and a throw to soften the lounge and a lovely picture on the wall of course. Good luck in choosing all you new peices.

Congratulations on your new home! Is it possible to move the two couches so they’re separate and the opposite of what you have now. It’s looking crowded in the corner there, with the chaise, plants and the lamp. It’s hard to see the composition of the room without more photos and different angles. Colour wise if your walls are white you could do almost anything.

What style do you like? And what feel are you after in the living room? A rug, a coffee table will certainly add some warmth and interest to the room.

Also some art/photos on the wall, to create a cohesive theme. I’d change out the cushions you have there and add some with an assortment of colour, patterns and texture. Pinks (dusty, peachy) are in this year along with greens. I’ve always loved green and find it doesn’t date. After all it’s inspired by nature. Blues with beiges work well too. Have fun decorating! How exciting!

Also add a beautiful throw. It's amazing how it can soften the lounge.

Definitely a big rug that tucks under all the couch/chaise pieces. Cushions on couch, perhaps even in a green (like your monstera) ; coffee table 🩵 Endless fun awaits you!

Good luck

Cushions in lighter colours, some with different textures and even prints would lift it up, lighter throws, large rug in a light colour, definitely a nice large print or painting. Pillowtalk, Adairs, Spotlight, Kmart and TkMax have some great sales if you keep your eye on them
