Bunnings and the timber yard don't sell the recommended screws. We have liquid nails, but wanted to see what kind of screws/nails others have used.

Thanks in advance

I recently used the Hardie Groove in our bathroom renovation on all walls (recommended for wet areas) except the shower stall, which is fully tiled. I adhered the HG with stud adhesive and fibre cement screws. Patched, caulked, undercoated and painted as normal.

Really happy with the results!

Good luck

We used liquid nails and bullet head nails for both bathrooms with VJ

We actually ended up using both as we ran out of the Hardie Groove and couldn’t get hold of it at the time so grabbed easy craft and it was fine.

Partner is a builder he says use liquid nails and finish nails.

Though he says screws are better.

Galvanised self counter sinking screws. If bunnings don't have them in stock they can order them in. You would then have to fill the holes with builders bog and sand smooth then paint it all.

James hardie has a spec sheet which outlines what to use. Apply like regular fibre cement sheet. Punch fibre cement nail head slightly below surface level and fill
