So my 2 almost 3 year old has been in feeding therapy for 8 months and her therapist told me today she thinks they have worked through her sensory issues and that my daughter just doesn't like "those foods".

Those foods being potatos, any vegetable, citrus fruits, melons, etc.

I wish I hadn't wasted all this time!

I've just paid for 4 months of food therapy for my 5yo and the only foods he has added is 2 new lollies 🍭

Didn't even attempt at any kind of protein (any meat, cheese, eggs etc) or fruit or vege. I thought we would at least get something with somebody kind of nutritional value.

We had a very positive experience with feeding therapy. My son will never be an adventurous eater, but when we started, he'd only eat dino shaped nuggets and snacks. Now he eats burgers, lumpia, and more, and he's willing to try almost anything, but he still doesn't like spicy food. It's still a huge improvement.

Why isn’t your child allowed to have food preferences?

she is obviously her own person and has preferences but she still refuses to even try anything new and still won't eat a single vegetable and only eats banana and berries for fruit and only eats Kraft Mac and cheese or spaghetti no other noodles and no rice or mashed potatoes or sweet potato or eggs or oatmeal or any mixed foods really.
