Hi friends, Kansas gardener here. If you have a moment, I am interested in seeing the different things everyone uses for plant tags/stakes/labels etc., both indoors & out.

Thanks so much!

I use crafting popsicle sticks. Their cheap and biodegradable. And handy for planting seeds or potting up small seedlings.

I use my memory - it does not always work very well. But when things start growing I can usually tell what they are.

I cut up old window blinds and use a sharpie.

This year I cut up an old plastic window blind. Got over 300 4” tags, used a sharpie and they are wonderful!

Scraps of plywood screwed to a stake. Plant and date. I also cut up yogurt containers for the starters.

I use old metal window blinds, cut up into small pieces, and use pencil. They last forever, never fade, and are repurposed. Win!

I use the Artline Garden Markers - best find for labeling. And I use popsicle sticks, wood stir sticks, plastic labels from Amazon and some bamboo signs. I’m trying to get away from the plastic ones because I’m generally sick of plastic but also because they bend over in the sun.

I also use the crafting popsicle sticks. They are very cheap at the dollar stores ,are biodegradable ,and great for seedlings. I grow a lot of plants from seeds, and great to have a cheap Tag that is biodegradable.
