We had bought a jar of rough natural opal in Australia a little more than ten years ago, and my husband had it made into a necklace for me for Mother’s Day last year.

My daughter’s birthstone is opal and he had a tiny emerald put on it for my son’s birthstone. A reminder of an awesome trip and my kids all in one!

However, it’s totally funky looking and people always ask what on earth it is lol.

For the longest time I had part of a cabinet handle. It was from an abandoned botany office/lab on the Big Island of Hawaii. It has what looks like Chinese lettering.

One of my favorite treasures. It just sits on a shelf with other treasures.

It is beautiful, you should not care what people say as it is precious to you! It reminds me of a beautiful pansey. How very thoughtful of your husband. Happy Mother's day God Blesss

I made this in Sri Lanka a few weeks ago, I always wear it now & my boyfriend has a matching moonstone pendant that he made, so we wear them whilst we travel. They say moonstone protects you!
