I will be in Edinburgh, Scotland for (US) Mother’s Day this year. I’d like to surprise my mom

I’d like to surprise my mom with something outside of a standard group tour or nice dinner, preferably something hands on or an activity, class, or demonstration.

We will have my 15 month old son with us, so it will need to be something he could be part of.

She enjoys cooking/baking, chocolate, scotch, gardening, anything nature/outdoors related (hiking, animals, bees), crafting, and history.

I did a Rabbie’s scotch whisky one day tour. It left from Edinburgh.

We went to 3 distilleries, toured the facilities, got a lesson on how whisky is made and did some tastings.

Arthur’s seat is a great hike. Also love Hollyrood Palace and Edninburgh Castle.
