If so, how did did you find an artist to collaborate with and what was the outcome for you?

Thanks!

My cousin (artists) and I turned my MG novel into a proposal for an MG graphic novel. We created about 10 pages as a sample and contacted about 25 agents that said they we looking for MG graphic novels but didn’t get a single taker.

Just reject letters.

Talking to others, not many independent books get taken up as GN. If you look on the bookshelves, they’re full of Manga or very very popular books that have already been turned into movies. And full of Marvel.

Right to editors and publishers -- publishers especially alternate, publishing companies that are established and ask them to refer to you to sites artists are listed.. it stands to reason you are going to have to pay a good artist in advance. Write art schools like the Joe kubert School for Comic Art for references.

The new small press camera book that has good art before story contact that artist.. ask it local comic shops some of which have good relationships with the community and some of which do not, for references for Comic artists.
