I have been seeing alot of posts on various places about the need to cut down on shopping Bills.
Before you go shopping make a list of things you NEED and stick to your list.
This will bring your bill down as there will be no impulse buying!
How to cut down your shopping bill? Simple Advice
I menu plan and write the list. The husband shops from the list.
That way I can’t impulse buy and the husband wants to get out the shop asap and sticks with what’s on the list.

It cuts down on impulse buying but means your rigid in your purchasing and not making use of special offers or reductions because your not looking for them. I look at the reduced section and offers for meat etc and then buy my items to make meals around them.
I Take a note pad or use my phone and make a meal plan while I'm in the shop to see how far I can stretch what I'm buying. E.g. if I see chicken on offer I will only buy what I need to make that into a meal.
So, if I buy a bag of potato's to go with that what else can I make with the potato's to make another meal. So, I'll get some sausages to have sausage and mash etc.
Saves me a fortune and have no food waste. Everything's accounted for.

Better still stay at home and do delivery or click n collect, that way I won't be tempted to buy what's not on list.
I have tried withdrawing just the budgeted amount of cash before shopping, and leaving all cards at home that day. Needless to say it works to prevent impulse buying. It's just quite painful, and I hate coins accumulating in my wallet. But it works. Even better if you chuck leftover change in a kitty every week, and save for rainy day.
