I'm getting back into Online marketing after 4 years of inactivity, I watched so many courses before but just got tired from all the noise and just decided to take a break. I'm wondering how much has changed?
What are the primary factors for a product/service website's site ranking these days?
Is the path to organic website growth still like before?
Do multiple pages still score higher then a single page website?
I see many professionals still have everything beautifully layed out and crammed on a single page, however I think if they created 5 seperate pages with the same content and distributed their content to differnet pages they would get a higher google score.
Back in the days I didn't have the best design or esthetician skills, so I would outrank my competition using keywords and multiple pages.
So what has changed?

The core fundamentals are the same. Minor changes to content, authority, and structure but even without doing those things you can still rank the same way you did years ago.
Google ranks pages, not websites so the more pages you have the more exposure you can possibly acquire.
However, if you have a high authority domain your pages will index and rank easier.
