Can anyone tell me how many suitcases they would take?

Family of 5 for 10 nights abroad. With a 6, 4 and 5 month old. I have no idea how I’m going to pack!

Family of 6, we use 4. Adults get one each and 2 older share as do 2 younger. We also all have cabin bags which have snacks and things to do on the plane. We always have extra space on the way back even after buying lots when away but we were caught short one year and our check in bag was way over and got charged a bomb at malaga airport. so buying extra before we fly is always cheaper just incase.

When our 3 where little I always booked a hotel with washing machine facilities, saves the hassle and easier to manage holding kids hands rather than lugging cases.

We take 2 large for 2 weeks and 1 large and 1 medium for 10 nights 2 adults 1 Child (we take pool inflatable, sinkies and plenty of toys)

I’m going away next month my 11&8 year old are sharing a case and my 5 month olds stuff is coming on as hand luggage there’s no way his little clothes will amount to 10kg.

Family of four, we always take 2, plus everyone has a backpack for the plane. One of our children has a wheelchair, so it means one pulls cases, the other can do the wheelchair.... Probably similar to you with a buggy.

Oh and split your clothes between cases, so if one gets lost, you still have things to wear!

Depends a lot on where you’re going. What you’re doing. Driving as well?

Our travels from when I was 8 (I was the youngest) would be two large each usually. But. We actually could carry and sort out our own bags. They were 3-4 week holidays.

Our trips now are a week or two. Or if longer with an apartment washing machine. Three large. Family of 3. Three carry on plus handbag.
My brother is a family I’d your makeup and he went with 5 large and 5 carry on. My dear god it was chaos as the kids can’t carry

I’d take 3 max. We’re a family of 4 and spent 3.5 weeks travelling (pre Covid) and had 2 suitcases with a couple of rucksacks for days out. I always aim to book places with a washing machine which helps cut back on the amount of clothes needed.
