I'm looking to replace my old kitchen appliances. I'm considering upgrading to a new oven, cooktop, and dishwasher. I'm not sure which brand would be the best choice. Any recommendations based on reliability, features, or price would be greatly appreciated.

How exciting. Highly recommend Asko dishwashers. Currently have SMEG freestanding w electric oven / gas cook top and no complaints. The oven isn't pyrolytic but the SMEG installer showed me the simple water technique for cleaning (hiding in the manual) & it's very simple & efficient.

Have fun shopping.

I have a theory I stick to, and it’s always proved right. Italian for cooking appliance’s and German for cleaning appliance’s. My go to are Ilve & Miele..

I got my gas 90cm cooktop from Aldi $250, looks and works great. Dishwasher Midea from Bunnings $394, also great appliance, easier to stack than any other Dishwasher I've ever used and cleans great. I don't think dearer is always better, I've had Mielle and Ariston and other fancy brands that haven't been as good. I paid a fortune for pink smeg toaster and kettle and they are the worst I've ever had.

Bosch for the dishwasher

I have now had three freestanding Westinghouse electric oven/gas cooktop (90cm) and have never ever been disappointed.

If you have the funds, go top of the line Bosch dishwasher - it is amazing.

Currently have a top of the line Miele dishwasher and prefer Bosch.

Oh - and Ilve for the range hood!

All I can say with this is that I feel you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, spend that little bit extra. Have always had Bosch dishwasher, Miele oven (and washer dryer!).

Currently have an ILVE freestanding cooker on order, it’s built in Italy.

Miele all round! It is more expensive but functionality is awesome and cleaning is brilliant. We are 18mths into a full kitchen refurb with all Miele appliances and couldn’t be happier.

I just got rid of my oven with stove top for good! Yay!

I just got two portable induction hot plates from ikea for $60 each (brilliant and can be plugged into normal outlets. And put away after use to free up bench space). And I got the largest air fryer/convection oven I could find ($150 from Kmart). A Breville slow cooker for $150 and my Kmart microwave for $49. I ditched the oven and this is all I need. It’s so much cheaper, easier to fix or replace if broken, and when technology upgrades, I’m not breaking the bank to replace a shitty old oven with a new one. I highly recommend. I’m just waiting for the steel kitchen bench for this space and I’ll be set!

Wait until end of financial year sales in a month and half. You’ll get really good deals on good quality dishwaters. Cheaper than they are right now.
