After a few days the ones I buy just disappear.

I cut grass long grass last year like 1 ft in length let it dry out, raked it into piles had sticks and chunks of wood and let it sit about 1 to 3 weeks flipped them few times, when I threw it into my truck I could count 50 to 60 crawling on the top of the pile. I never researched how to grow them this is just what I experienced. I'm sure in 1 truck load more than 1000 lady bugs.

Everytime I have bought them, the aphids dissapear and then they dissapear. Which is awesome. I have bought them once or twice a year for the last couple of years and they do their job and move on.

When I release them, I spread them throughout the aphid infested area.

Last year I even released a couple in my house. I have avacado trees in my house and couldn't get rid of the aphids. Put about 10 or so around my avacados and two weeks later there wasn't a single aphid left.

Love those ladybugs!

You're best to look up lady bug habitat and start building that to lure them.

They usually move on to the neighbors. Like already mentioned... build up a habitat b4 putting out the money. I use them in the greenhouse and after 2 weeks or so.... they move on. But at least they take care of my insect problem.

Do you have aphids for them to feed on? They won’t hang around if there is no food for them.

Spray them with sugar water before releasing them. It will temporarily stick their wings together so they can’t fly away right aways. It’ll give them time to find the pests before they can move on.
