Looking for advise..
I see mostly corrugated panels or old windows. I have 28 of these panels and am looking for input on possible building ideas. They are 48”x 52”x 3/16” thick.
They have a frame around them with the tabs to hold in place.
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone used tempered glass to build their greenhouse?
I have absolutely no experience with greenhouses (dreaming of the day I have one and living vicariously through others and getting inspiration for the future) but could you apply some kind of clear coating vinyl (that wouldn't alter the greenhouse effect).
So, if it were to shatter you wouldn't have a million pieces. Kinda like those vinyl sheets they put to decorate windows to frost them but only clear.
Or a clear tape. Just a thought. Ignore me if that's stupid!

I’ve used them. They’re quite heavy and you have to be very very careful not to hit them on the edge. They can shatter into a million pieces instantly so be forewarned. Otherwise, I really liked using them. My greenhouse was 16x32.
They work great. The only thing is the get hot to the point of burning your plants. Shade cloth is a must. I wood framed mine with overhead door panels for raised beds. Worked great..
Glass on the vertical (which is where it is strongest anyway), Polycarbonate roof.
Lighter and much safer, tempered or not.
