Can you recommend local travel company to book a tour?

Is it more economical to book tours in Iceland versus US?

Depends on when you are going. My clients who go in the summer tend to rent their own cars but my winter clients prefer not self driving at that time of the year.

Car Rental allows for most flexibility. If you do tours, I would base in Reykjavík and then also move to either Hvölsvollur or Vík.

Tour companies: BusTravel Iceland, Midgard Adventure, Ice Pic Journey, Tröll Adventure, Danny Kaze, or Marina Travel IcelKaże,

Been to Iceland x3, have trip x4 in 45 days, and am booking x5 tomorrow.

Enjoy!

It's my favorite place and one of the 3 places I intentionally repeat.

We did well with a car rental because of the flexibility. We like to set our own pace, and Iceland is easy because almost everyone speaks English.

Get the glass coverage because of the high chance of windshield damage.

You do not want a car when you're in Reykjavik. Parking is difficult and ruthlessly enforced.

My husband and I were there in august. We stayed 5 nights in Reykjavik and took day tours on 2 of the days thru Get Your Guide, went to Blue Lagoon one day and a day and half of walking around Reykjavík.

Highly recommend going to one of the local pools in Reykjavik. Just read up on local pool etiquette.

We loved Iceland! Enjoy your trip!!
