Just a little warning for people that have never used the RingGo app

The best bit is that the lowdown comes from YOU. Round here, you are the influencer. You shape the board and make it great. We want you to get involved by writing posts and comments to inspire us, teach us, challenge us or simply make us laugh. The power is in your hands, literally.

Make sure it puts your full number plate in. I downloaded it and was rushing to get my son to a party at the cinema.

I entered my number plate details but didn’t notice only the first four had been accepted. Came back to car to a fine.

I have tried to contest it but received a letter back saying it was my responsibility to make sure it had worked. So still have to pay the fine although I did pay for my parking.

Just please be careful

Sorry but it asks you to confirm your car registration at several steps and sends a text to confirm its correct and receipts to say parking had paid for with your registration number attached.

Don't pay and fight it. You paid to park there and whilst there was an error with the app, you paid the necessary fee to park. We put the wrong vehicle down once without thinking and we had the fine waived

You could argue that there app is faulty and it had correct information that u have proof of parking so is infact not your fault.

If you have proof of payment through the app fight it, I put a 0 instead of an o and they tried to fine me.
I said I would see them in court with proof of purchase. They backed down.
