If so, which one and was your doc hesitant to put you on it?

Also, are you noticing a difference in your readings?

Any info will be helpful.

Thank you!

I'm on Ozempic. I went to my endo appt prepared to ask for it, and then surprisingly my endo was the one who mentioned it first. I was borderline insulin resistant, which my endo defines as using 1 or more units of insulin per kg of body weight. I had no side effects, lost 25lbs within the first 2 months, and use about half the insulin I did before.

My endo suggested Wegovy. I had become IR and was requiring more and more insulin. Now, I only bolus like 3u Humalog per meal, compared to the 10u I used to take. My sugars sit between 85-125, and 145 after a meal. My basal rate has not changed. And weight-loss is just the icing on the cake for me.

I started Wegovy 3 months ago and so far I’m using about 1/4 less insulin than I normally do. It’s been a bit of an adjustment in my mindset as far as calculating my doses.

My doctor recommended them also. I’m on Victoza. It keeps my sugar more stable and my appetite is less. I’ve lost about 18 pounds.
