Has anyone got any advice for travelling from Siem Reap to northern Thailand without flying?

Cheapest and time efficient would be great.

We got the bus to Bangkok it was pretty simple really easy border crossing actually, we then did fly to the south, but u can always just get the sleeper bus from chaing Mai once I’m Bangkok not sure it’s time efficient but that’s the issue with not flying haha

I also took the bus. Customs line took four long hours at the border. Other than that it was great.
