My mum's electric is now at £13 there is still 255 on her key

Prepayment doesn't run out overnight u get a bit of grace time, mine is between 6pm and 12pm the next day before it cuts off.

U may have to go into your emergency credit by £5 then put the key in should take the £5 for debt then u have the 250 on the meter x

No money will go on till its ran out, the key has the max on it, meter only holds £250, so once £13 has ran out, it will go on.

Have you sent them this query via their fb page, messenger etc? Get it in writing to them so if they screw up you have proof, they will then jump far quicker to rectify. Message them tonight and phone on the morning.

Emergency credit would kick in overnight and depending on provider friendly credit too meaning the power won't go off. Do you know rough daily usage so you can have an informed guess as to when the meter will be low enough to top up?

Meter still might not except it because it’s above £250 which most meters hold.
