Looking for a place in Europe where you can stay in a caravan/lodge which is great with kids and not too expensive

The best bit is that the lowdown comes from YOU. Round here, you are the influencer. You shape the board and make it great. We want you to get involved by writing posts and comments to inspire us, teach us, challenge us or simply make us laugh. The power is in your hands, literally.

Try booking directly with the campsite. We have saved that way.

Siblu is cheaper and I think the mobiles are nicer. They have lots of sites in France.

Siblu villages are great. They’re not usually next to beaches (usually drivable) which instantly makes things cheaper! We’ve stayed at Kerlann and litteau and both were great. Brittany doesn’t have tolls either which cuts the price a little. We went from Portsmouth to cut the driving when in France- usually to Caen.

Look at Sandaya website, much cheaper. Also go as late as you can in August which makes it cheaper.

My partner and I recently came back from lalandia at billund in Denmark it was amazing huge aquadrome plus loads of other bits to do on-site like ice skating, tennis, bowling, climbing wall. It’s also just over the road from legoland and the Lego house is just down the road. We had a 2 bedroom lodge which was huge. It cost us about £300 person including flights and accommodation. We are looking at going back next year with the kids

Work backwards....find cheap flights/travel first and then work out which sites are closest.

We’ve been to both eurocamp and canvas holidays. Just came back from canvas holidays to le chene gris yesterday, £336 for 4nts in a safari tent for 5 of us. Gorgeous weather, good facilities, 25mins from Disneyland and we used Tesco vouchers for eurotunnel crossing. I also love eurocamp, we’ve driven to La croix du vieux pont twice and been to Bella Italia on lake Garda (we flew out of bergamo Milan airport, about 45min coach drive from this airport) and this park was fantastic! Again with Tesco vouchers, we paid £500 for 5 of us in august! Bargain! X

Take a look at Camping Alvor in Portugal… it’s a camp site and they also offer static homes / apartments on site, there’s a kids pool and a large pool, 1-2 bars/restaurants on site and plenty of lovely restaurants down in the town..
