Advice on fast track security at Gatwick airport... Is it worth it?

The best bit is that the lowdown comes from YOU. Round here, you are the influencer. You shape the board and make it great. We want you to get involved by writing posts and comments to inspire us, teach us, challenge us or simply make us laugh. The power is in your hands, literally.

Family of 4... Does it save time and stress? Or is it just a money maker that the world and his wife do so it's no faster?

There’s a special family security section you can go though which is usually quieter than main security.

If you book a lounge it sometimes comes with that and I think the lounge at Gatwick is well worth it. Might get it free if you have Barclays account far more relaxing.

We did normal security at Gatwick the other week and it was fairly swift. We had 3 kids ranging from 11months to 11yrs and I didn't find it particularly stressful. We went to the family section and queues were swift x

Definitely not worth it - if travelling in the north terminal go to the far right hand side which is family/assistance lane.

Depending what time your flight is and if its in summer holidays I always book it if flight is before 8am as that's when airport is at it busiest last year the family queue was ao long was taking about an hour we went straight through.

Sometimes it’s worth it. You can have a look at the queue and pay there though.

Last time we booked it, we went through the fast track lane and ended up back in the general queue x
