Does anyone have advice on how to get cheaper flights to New Zealand from the UK?

I'm desperate to see my Daddy but I cant seem to find anything under 5k for me and 3 children. Is there a cheaper flight path to take or months that are less expensive?

If you don’t mind flying on one of the Chinese airlines - that’s the cheapest I have seen.

Also try a travel agent. They know how to hunt for cheap flights. I use Trailfinders quite often.

Finally, the earlier you can book the cheaper a deal you can get. If you can do it a year in advance it’s better.

Try sky scanner but from ‘UK’ rather than a specific airport to NZ. Select by month and it will highlight the cheapest dates to fly.

Also find out when airlines release flights as they are sometimes cheaper when released until they start to be in demand and prices rise x

All that said I flew out to NZ in June last year, came back in September and it cost nearly £3K for two of us (son is over 12 so pays adult fare).

Download the Trip app, as stated above Chinese Airlines cheapest. Only does economy flights though.

Also try flying from Europe, or to Oz this can sometimes be cheaper but it’s a hard hunt…
