Good morning Doctors, my baby of 8months have been running temperature as high as 39.2c, I gave pcm drop but it was not dropping until I administered pcm injection yesterday evening it dropped to 36.7c.

I have concerns for his stool, I observed yesterday twice his stool had mucous, every change of Pampers yesterday had stool, he pooed upto 5times, some sank inside the diaper completely, not much in volume though, some he pooed while breastfeeding. He vomited 2 times one was a mixture of mucus and breast milk.

The doctor in my clinic prescribed Brustan N to calm the fever which I gave yesterday night and it calmed it but after 12hrs I gave this morning, temperature is still high.

In between I have been tepid sponging but no significant improvement

About a month plus ago he had fever over a night when we went to the hospital his Mp was few and FBC was all normal, doctor's diagnosis was PUO, I didn't give him the prescribed ACT and ibuprofen because the fever didn't last upto 24hours, after we got to clinic the fever didn't come back again.

So recently I and my husband came down with malaria and we got treated, when his fever started on Saturday evening I had to start him on the already prescribed ACT with PCM still no improvement.

Kindly take your baby to the hospital so the cause of fever can be identified.
