I have a 1 year old husky x malamute, he’s very active, healthy, perfect weight, no problems with health and is on a raw diet with all his supplements etc
I took him for a 2.5 hour walk yesterday, which was absolutely fine, and when we came back, I trimmed the fur within his paws as it was getting quite long.
This morning, he’s got a limp, but is otherwise completely fine, not whimpering or laying down in pain etc.
Any advice? I’ve spoken to the vets and they’ve said to give him plenty of rest, but tryna figure out could it of been the long walk or trimming furnthat could’ve caused it.

2.5 hours is probably to long for your dog, his bones will still be soft, rest him up and he should be fine.
I have a 7 year old lab/pit so much older. She will run and play all day. Took her to the dog park a week ago she ran and played for 2 or so hours would not leave we tried for over an hour and she was not having it. So, we let her go she was having fun. Well it got dark so we had to go.
She could not even walk out of the car. She does not know her own limits just this winter she's developed some hip pain. She's on supplements now that help a lot but she can't over do it like she did. So maybe your baby does not know his own limits.

Then the walk maybe too long for him. Larger dogs don’t always know their limits. It’s better to talk more frequent shorter walks. Rest today with short pottie breaks and over the next few days do the same and see if that helps.
Do y’all usually go on a 2.5 hour walk? My dogs can’t go that long. Might just be tired/sore, check paw pads for stickers/splinters or if the pads are raw. Rest is probably the best answer and if not better in a few days then maybe schedule a vet visit. My dog limps sometimes after being at the dog park because he will over do it and be sore. After a day or so he’s usually back to his old self.
Good luck your pup is a cutie.
