Looking for suggestions! We have this shelf in our front entry way & I just can’t find the right thing to display on it.

If you zoom in and see the right hand side of the fire place.
Vase and tall candles.
You need to fill two thirds of the height to have the right proportion.

This is what we did with ours, looks totally different with the VJ

Group of 3 - large lamp, smaller ginger jar (or potted plant if you get natural light) and a smaller decor item (figurine, tray, bowl). You could illuminate the lamp with a battery operated LED light which you could sit on the lamp holder.

If it’s an option I’d remove it, as these “plinths” are generally too high, and then replace it with a nice round side/hall table, and add a power point for a table lamp if possible.

If you own the home, I would consider building the side walls up to the ceiling, hollowing out the inside. Place a door on the angled wall and turning it into a storage cupboard.

We have a similar thing. We've got a large Buddha on it atm. I'm considering just pulling it apart and making a door way so I can put a plantation shutter in there as we have an opening into our living room with this corner section.
