My thoughts are that this is the middle part of a trilogy, the first part being 'The end of the beginning' and the third 'The end of all endings'.

AND YOU?!

Every beginning is the beginning of an end. So why would this be an interesting book for me?

I agree with the other person that said it sounds CLICHE.
So, no. I wouldn't use that. It's overdone. Done to death. Find a more original way to start. You'll be glad you did.

"The beginning of the end" may be a hackneyed phrase but there's nothing inherently wrong with that. It's what comes next that counts. To me, this feels like the story itself is going to be enjoyable and entertaining to read precisely because of the very first sentence being so mundane.

Oh good. Another end of the world novel that doesn’t define the actual end. It’s a continuum. Engage me in a conflict between people like me. Let me taste their achievement. But leave the guy with the sign about the end of the world standing at a red light in the rain in somebody else’s book.

Unfortunately, it's a cliche.
Don't worry about the opening lines of your book. You have plenty of time to revisit and rewrite them before you're ready to publish.

"It will be enough to say that I am Juan Pablo Castel, the painter who killed María Iribarne; I suppose the trial is everywhere, although a good part of it took place here, in prison." that is the start of the novel The Tunnel from Ernesto Sabato. In my opinion one of the best starts.

Sounds too generic, chiche for a title. If I were you I'd change it, or at least use more flavorful wording.

For example, the Licanius trilogy did it well with their third title: "The Light of All that Falls". Similar vibe, but with more character. But of course, don't copy their vibe too much, or it'll seem unoriginal.
