It’s safe to do an overnight bus from Bogota to San Gil?

Hi! Going to be going from Bogota to San Gil by myself and was wondering if it’s safe to do an overnight bus or if I should take a day time bus.

You can take the nightbus.

Only overnight bus issue is sometimes it's to short. Without traffic at night that bus can take 6 hours so make sure you don't leave to early. Stay at Macondo Hostel.

Over night bus is good as long as your hostel will let you in if you get there very early. I arrived late from Villa De Leyva to San Gil and just got a taxi to our hostel and was fine. But we walked around on outskirts of the city in the day time and one area felt bit sketchy.
