.. Wring it and repeat. This removes a surprising amount of water before your towel touches your body and helps keep your towel drier and fresher so you can use it again, however many times you choose. It's easier and cheaper to dry flannels than bath sheets!

I know plenty of people will say yuk, but they can scroll on by!

Or use your hairdryer, I do that at the pool ad there's nothing worse than trying to get a bra on fresh from the pool/shower!

Hand towels and face cloths are washed every day... bath sheets and towels twice a week, I don't think that's excessive.

I just use my hand (like a shower blade) get the excess water off, then towel after. Hang the towel over the bannister on the stairs and it dry's in no time.

Also, I turn the shower off while lathering up with the soap.

I use Greek/Turkish hamman towels as quick absorbing, this so get more in washer & they dry quicker too.

When I was in college 60 years ago, we were given a clean sheet, bath towel and hand towel, every 2weeks . I’ve kept to that ritual since then!

I actually let myself drip dry in the hot weather! I use the towel but only briefly…. I shower in the evenings so I have time to do it. I also only shower every other day as I strip wash on alternate days. So I can use my towel twice and possibly even 3 times before washing it (because when I do use it I hardly use it at all lol)!

As long as you spread your towel out properly between uses (basically don't just leave in a heap on the floor!), it dries in time to be used again the next day anyway. A towel is for drying - you don't need to pre-dry!

I know somebody who only washes their towels once every 6 months as they believe the towels are clean. Tried to explain about skins cells etc. but it did not sink in. Yuk.

My dad told us to do this when we were kids to save washing the towels every time. Back in those days mum had to use a corner of the kitchen with a brick built container that was heated by fire underneath and used a wooden 'ponch' so it was impossible to wash for a family more than once or twice a week.. It was many years before they could afford to have it taken out and get a twin tub. It's something that I still do now.
