What kind of paint do you use on plates?

I’m hoping someone on here may be able to help. I want to get my two girls 2 and 12 weeks to do hand/foot prints on a plate for my partner for Father’s Day but I haven’t got a clue what paint to use or what to seal it with?

Any advice would be great.

Don't use acrylic paint on kidss I used kids paint from Wilko and got a tin of varnish too.

I did this on canvas bought from Wilkinson’s and just used my children’s paint.

I believe there is a paint which is suitable for using on glass if you can source it, it may be just the thing. good luck. Liz t-w
