A friend of mines soon to be son in law is a UW rep (I know and I’m sorry)!

This forum aims to educate, support and advise as many people as possible.. If we don’t know, we probably know someone that does and we work hard to make sure everyone gets the answers they need.

He has posted today a news clip (funny the date is not on it) saying prices will sky rocket by the end of the year and you better fix your rate with us now, I can only guarantee a few fixed deals so get in quick, etc, etc.

Be careful folks and don’t fall for this!

I also know someone who works for UW (also sells candles and Jewellery 🙄 which says it all really). She put up a video yesterday although I missed the start of it, saying their price cap is much lower than anybody else. Bur this is only if you fix now as it's not lasting long, no mention of the inflated bundle prices or anything about unit rates, standing charges ect. But she can help you save hundreds of £££, hopefully not too many folk believe her!!

I read last night on an Energy Web page that a supplier, not UW, had pulled its new fixed rates as prices to increase by end of the year.

Just research yourself. Check unit rates for gas/electric + work it our. Also check standing charges. That’s all you need.

Don't miss: British Gas: £737 + £767!

Current predictions are for another small drop in October (average of £1900 ish) and then a rise again in January (to around £2100 for the average) I believe.

But of course not planned to get the £400 help this year so overall winter will cost what it did last year.
