Boiler water temperature question if I may
.. I am finding the water too hot for showers and baths needing to get the right temp with cold water. As heating is not currently in use is it safe to set it at 45degrees please?
The only time water temperature needs to be above 60C is if you have a hot water tank.
Combi boilers can be set as low as creates hot enough water at the coldest tap.
Water that is stored in a tank should be heated above 60C periodically (ours goes on daily, I've seen people heating water with air pumps say immersion once a week to heat above 65C is sufficient).

You can set it at any temperature you like unless you have a tank (legionella).
Also turn to hot water only in the summer just in case like happened to me last week your thermostat batteries die

You can set as low as is comfortable. It's a combi boiler so there's no safety concerns as the water isn't stored.
You can set it at any temperature that suits you. Mine is around that as the water was too hot and kept having to add far too much cold for a bath.
