Holiday Scam… Hopefully not!

Recently booked a holiday to Portugal with VillaPlus. It wasn’t cheap and my father in law has got me panicking that our booking is scam and that we’ve lost all the money. I have absolutely no reason to believe him but has anyone else had any issues with VillaPlus.

I just need reassurance please lovely people.

We have used them loads of times, never had any issues.

I imagine you are more than ok with Villa Plus - we have used them a few times with no issues whatsoever
They are a genuine well known company so much more reliable that air bnb or booking privately with owner etc imo

There was a TV show on last week which covered scam holidays but most were via airbnb and Facebook market place where they steal villa photos and sell holidays. Maybe he watched it and thats why he's so worried x

I used villa plus about 5 years ago and was happy with them but then during covid they were really bad at issuing refunds. Alot of people had trouble getting money back from them so I think they are good providing there aren't any problems.

Used twice to Majorca. Both different standards of villa (it comes down to the owners, villa plus are the agents) no issue with first on but the second there was quite a few however the reps were very efficient and very helpful. I would use again.

There was a program on Channel 5 last night called Holiday Scams: Don’t get Caught Out, might be worth a watch. They mentioned a website where you can check companies.

Used them the first time and brilliant, second time we got to the airport to find out our flight had been changed to 2 hours earlier and we had missed it! It was 5am and we had small children with us, we had to pay for new flights and I spent the full week trying to recoup over £2000 (our spending money) to get it back… which we did a few weeks after we got home! All they offered us was £300 voucher off the next villa.

I’ve done loads of holidays with villa plus, they are wonderful, their villas are always immaculate and so well kitted out. You’ve not been scammed. Hope you have a lovely holiday.

We booked through villa plus for a beautiful villa in Portugal 3 years ago. Villa was spotless, the gardener had been in just before us and keys were left as arranged no problem. The taxi driver from the airport had a bit of trouble finding it but that was the taxi fault! We had a great week x
