Looking for book suggestions for a 6 year old girl that she can read independently

Beatrice Potter. Bramble Hedge. The Borrowers. Classics all. Read some to her if she's not quite there yet. Or if available on audio too see if she can read along

Zoey & Sassafras is lovely! A sciency girl who discovers she is magical! They are not very long.

Also, for now and the future, the website “a mighty girl “ is full of book recommendations for anything from babies to teenagers, with most of the books having female lead characters. it’s a great website!

Rainbow Magic series. I find them all very similar but at that age my daughter raced through them, and there’s LOTS! We both really enjoyed the Dirty Bertie books, and some of the Jeremy Strong books. Both are good if she likes humour and silliness.

Alex Milway books - hotel flamingo and big sky mountain series… Phillip reeve, he writes the Kevin the roly poly flying pony books which are hilarious and cute… Holly Webb for when she gets a bit more reading stamina, lots of animals and fairies in her books

I think she'd love Isadora Moon. She may need some help with reading parts of them at 6.
