I took her to the hospital and they said it was pink eye, but I took her to another hospital and they said it’s DEFINITELY not pink eye and I would have to take her to an eye specialist asap tomorrow.

Would anyone like to share what they think it might be? She’s very healthy and she does swim a lot without goggles but that’s never affected her before.

This happens every 4-5 hours and then stops very fast maybe within a minute or 2, but it happens out of no where. Any ideas, tips, or advice is welcomed. I’m just really worried because when I went to the hospital they said they have never seen anything like it.

Thanks in advance.

May be the vein has reptured, may she stay healthy and get well soon. Consult a doc

She might have injured it while she was asleep or something might have caused it to get it injured or she may have worse subconjunctival hemorrhage which usually occurs with no apparent reasons. This can be alarming because this extreme bleeding happens very rarely. Would be so good to have this check ASAP to totally know the cause/s.

And did it bleed again?

Sometimes a bloody nose can cause this.

Eye trauma like sneezing hard or frequently, coughing or rubbing the eye aggressively. Hopefully just something as mentioned above.
