Has anyone else ever woken up from sleep because your indigestion was so bad?

.. that burning acid came up your throat and made it feel like you were choking and couldn't breathe. I'm traumatized.

Not me but my husband and it’s quite a scary thing to witness. He jumps out of bed and can’t catch his breath for a little while gasping for air, I guess the acid bubbles up and goes down into somewhere it shouldn’t be going. He’s lost 25lbs and it’s stopped happening, so far anyway.

Yes, I also get this. I have GERD/acid reflux. It's a horrible feeling to wake up choking. A wedge pillow to elevate my head works wonders.

Clear their throat constantly? I have terrible, postnasal drip I don’t know if it’s from acid indigestion or from allergy or non-allergy because I’m also sneezing, especially in the morning and congested. Good luck, trying to get the doctor to figure anything out I had a consultation over the phone for god sake, and they want to send me for a Invasive gastro test where they put a tube down your throat into your stomach and you have to be knocked out, without even talking about dietary changes or looking in my nose sore throat. healthcare just keeps getting worse.

Yes, many times. I decided to make sure I ate a few hours before bed and that helped.
